A very warm welcome to my online gallery for my works of affordable art. You will find my gallery has a very eclectic feel as I love to paint, the subject depends on my mood, the weather, inspiration from a photo or news item, or the brief I'm given.... I particularly enjoy painting clouds, here in Norfolk we are lucky to have wide, ever changing skies. I'm never at a loss for a subject and hope you enjoy looking at my work as much as I enjoy creating it.
My work is varied in media, from acrylics, watercolour, pastels, and encaustic art, and styles vary from contemporary and abstract art, to traditional sunset paintings, landscapes and more, along with prints and hand made original encaustic wax cards. Much of my work is available to buy online here, just click the buy or add to basket buttons on the image pages.
If you see a piece that inspires you, but would like a different colour, size or style, please contact me- I'm happy to work on something similar yet retain individuality. For commissions, once we have discussed your requirements I'll email images as we progress and only when you are satisfied do we arrange final payment and delivery. I’m more than happy to discuss any art sales via email should you prefer to buy offline.
Well, some great news this month with christmas approaching. Here's a way to boost your income. An artist colleague, Richard F Barber has come up with a fantastic idea. Have you ever wanted to be an art dealer but but the expenses of storage and premises put you off? Well Richard and I offering 25% commission to anyone selling on one of our works and sharing the idea among other artists so that you have a whole catalogue of online paintings to show anyone you think maybe interested in purchasing. Once they place the order as usual and it is accepted you email with their details and the name of the painting. As soon as their payment clears the 25% commission will be transferred to your paypal account. I'm offering the same deal so you've currently two galleries full of works to show. You can find Richard F Barbers site on my links page - Link number 8. Happy Selling.

I've been having a spell back on watercolours and have done a couple of flower ones I'm really pleased with.I seem to have found some of the lightness tahat has so far eluded me. As a contrast I'm also working on a rose in oils - 20 x 20 inches and a huge sunset over the sea - its 60 x 30 inches and i've done it portrait style so i have to hang it from the studio ceiling to work on the lower half :) Its almost complete - just the final touches of sun on the sea and foam on the shoreline - i think.. i have this habit of thinking its nearly done and then making major changes..its why a spell with watercolours again has been good for me - you simply can't do that with them. Well - I've attended an oil class this month which has given some formation to my oil works - so far i've been working blind so to speak, with the help of the net and books. To have a tutor has saved me much tme on simple errors that took only minutes to point me in the right direction instead of the hours I've spent trying to work it out. So expect a few more oils to come over the next months... I've finally finished the big sunset - it took a number of directions before I was pleased with the finished result. At 30 inches wide and 60 inches high its hanging inb my dining room where its acheived many positive comments - its certainly a work to attract attention! Its now on the website here under Beach at Sunset.
